Pablo Sarasate (zigeunerweisen!), Sibelius (concerto for violin), Tchaikovsky (for violin in D major), Brahms, the 5 concerts from Mozart, Paganini!! i agree, its' impossible to play that! and a lot more.. like my last concert: Max Bruch op26, G maj
Bach is from baroque, i'm more romantic... but Bach is good, i like it too..
I've just descovered Sibelius's concert for violino and I loved it!(I must say that the player was also fantastic!)...as for Max Bruch's concert...my violino teacher wanted for me to study it, but then I listened it in the George Enescu FestivalandI have to agree...it would be almost impossible for me to play it right now.(and I must say that JuanJOse's post isn't very encouraging...:( )
You know sebas, the paganini caprices have been beaten, technically speaking, by composers like ernst and others, but musically speaking, they are the most beautiful and there you are right. I say paganini is like the father of the violin music, for me, and after him come tchaikovski and brahms, beethoven and sibelius
